Aspirants who desire to apply for CAPM exam should have completed their schooling, with 60 months or 7,500 hours of project management experience). If the aspirant is a graduate then he/she should have completed 36 months or 4,500 hours of project management experience. In both cases, the aspirants need to have 35 contact hours of project management education. Application for the exam can be filled online. Verification of educational qualification and experience is also done online at the PMI website.
Candidates who complete the course have to take a computer based exam conducted by Project management institutions PMI. Candidates who pass this exam with good grades are provided the CAPM, Certified Associate in Project Management certificate.
For this purpose, one needs to register himself with the PMI, and then apply for the same. Once the candidate’s application is verified and accepted by the PMI, he gets one years’ time to appear for the exam and pass it. The candidate can make three attempts to clear the exam within the fixed duration.
